PM to lay foundation stone for energy park in Kutch on Dec 15
- World’s largest renewable energy park with the capacity to generate 30 gigawatts (GW) of electricity with a combined solar and wind energy.
- The renewable energy park has been developed in the desert area at the international border in Kutch district.
- The park, which is a mix of solar and wind power, is expected to take shape in the
desert near the Indo- Pak border - PM Modi will also lay foundation stone for a desalination plant in Mandvi.
- The water from this plant will be used for domestic, farming and industrial needs.
- This will bet the second desalination plant in the state after Dahej near Surat.
